Workshops hosted by the American Institute of Mathematics

How to Run a Math Teachers’ Circle (Washington, D.C.): June 17-21, 2013
How to Run a Math Teachers’ Circle (Palo Alto, CA): June 24-28, 2013

These workshops are designed for teams of five—two mathematicians, two middle school teachers, and one administrator or other organizer—who are interested in starting a Math Teachers’ Circle in their area. During the weeklong workshop, teams participate in example Math Teachers’ Circle sessions and also spend time planning their own Circle, including recruitment of teachers and mathematicians, logistics of a summer workshop and monthly meetings, and fundraising for long-term sustainability. Accepted teams will receive full funding for their participation. Please see our brochure for more details.

Applications are closed for the 2013 workshops. Please check back in the fall for the 2014 workshop dates. For more information, contact AIM Director of Special Projects Brianna Donaldson at circles (at) aimath.org.
