     AIM is one of seven
     NSF-funded math
     institutes

AIM has a wide variety of mathematical resources:

  • Snapshots. AIM Deputy Director Steven Krantz prepares an accessible description of the mathematics underlying each AIM workshop. Take a look.

  • Open problems. Most AIM workshops lead to the creation of an annotated problem list and a useful collection of background information on the workshop topic. At present this information is only available on a chronological list of past workshops, but work is underway to organize this material in a variety of different formats.

  • Preprints. The AIM preprint list contains papers which arose from work at a workshop or from one of the AIM-sponsored projects.

  • 5-year fellowship. Every year AIM awards a 5-year fellowship to an outstanding new PhD.

  • Math Institutes. There are seven mathematics institutes which are funded by the NSF's mathematics institutes program: AIM, IAS, IMA, IPAM, MBI, MSRI, and SAMSI,

Information about all of the institutes, along with a searchable database of events, can be found on the NSF Mathematical Sciences Institutes homepage.
