AIM Workshop Proposal

This form will allow you to propose a workshop to be hosted by the American Institute of Mathematics (AIM). For full consideration the deadline is November 1, 2012.

You will receive email confirmation of your proposal submission. If you do not receive confirmation then please contact workshops@aimath.org.

Please read about the AIM style of workshops prior to submitting this proposal. Submission of this proposal indicates your intention to run the workshop in the AIM style.

Include the institution and area of specialization, and the department (if not mathematics). For example:

Please also indicate which participants are female, underrepresented minorities, faculty at an undergraduate institution, or who work outside of academia (in industry or government).
 
AIM has a goal of increasing the participation of women, minorities, junior researchers, and faculty from primarily undergraduate institutions, and it is expected that the initial participant list reflect these priorities.

Workshop description

Please take 2 or 3 pages to describe your proposed workshop. Note that AIM workshops feature few talks, so it will be helpful if you include a description of your ideas for group activities that will facilitate active collaboration during the workshop. It will also be helpful if you include a clear description of the goals for your workshop. Also please indicate if you know of any recent, or upcoming, workshops in this general area.
