How to run a Math Teachers' Circle

to be held at the AMS Carriage House in Washington, DC

July 27-31, 2009

Application Deadline: April 17, 2009.

Successful teams will receive support for travel and local expenses.

Each team should consist of 4 or (preferably) 5 members. Each team must have two middle school math teachers and two mathematicians. Ideally, the 5th member will be a school administrator or community leader.

Statement of Interest

Please indicate your reasons for wanting to start a Math Teachers' Circle. It will be helpful if you describe your locality (urban/surburban/rural) and indicate any aspects that are particular to your setting.
Also be sure to explicitly indicate which member(s) have extensive contacts with your local middle school math teachers, which member(s) will be responsible for providing mathematical content, and which member(s) will take responsibility for administrative issues.
